American Grandfather Clock

c. 1900 - 1910

Beautiful, solid mahogany grandfather clock from the turn of the century.  The case is very tall and deep with carving throughout and original beveled glass.  Clearly American with its heavy brass movement that strongly resembles the work of the Waterbury Clock Company, especially in the pendulum and the dial.

The movement runs 8 days on a winding and sounds on the hour and the half hour with a huge gong.

The dial is brass with ornate spandrels and silver chapter rings with raised brass numbers.  The moon dial indicates the moon cycle in the arch.

Dimensions:  22" wide x 15" deep x 100" tall
